This summer marks the 50th Anniversary of what many comic book aficionados consider the single greatest Joker-Batman story of all time, “The Joker’s Five-Way Revenge,” written by Denny O’Neil and illustrated by Neal Adams, published in Batman #251, September 1973.
With apologies to that other “greatest Joker-Batman story of all time,” Alan Moore’s and Brian Bolland’s 1988 graphic novelette “The Killing Joke,” it would not have been possible without the impact and long-lasting esteem the O’Neil-Adams story is justly renowned for, re-establishing the Joker’s original persona of homicidal maniac, for the modern era.
So come to comic book historian (The Silver Age of Comic Book Art) Arlen Schumer’s new webinar, as he’ll discuss and dissect this landmark issue, dynamically displaying its cover, panels and pages in ways that will make you see the single greatest Joker-Batman story of all time as if for the first time!
