SOME OF THE GREATEST COMIC BOOK ARTISTS of our time created some of their greatest works during The Silver Age of Comics (circa 1956-1972); they not only drew definitive versions of the medium’s greatest characters—the ones being made into films and television shows today—but often set trends in the art of comic book storytelling itself!

So come join New York Adventure Club and renowned illustrator and pop culture historian Arlen Schumer for his webinar based on the award-winning book he wrote & designed, The Silver Age of Comic Book Art, as he explores the origins of the superhero tradition, its personification of American ideals and values, and how these attitudes and portrayals changed during that most turbulent of 20th Century decades, the 1960s.

You’ll see where Hollywood’s love affair with superheroes comes from—and you’ll see comics like you’ve never seen them before!
